Welcome to Lethbridge Minor Hockey!
Our registration is all online and you can do it from the convenience of your home at any time.
The first step is to complete the Respect in Sport Parent Course. This is an online course that Hockey Alberta has made mandatory for all families to have and it must be re-certified every 4 years. CLICK HERE FOR THE LINK TO THE COURSE.
Upon successful completion of this course the adult will receive a certificate and the child will get a hockey account and a hockey ID number assigned to them.
Then you can proceed with the online registration.
LMHA uses Hockey Canada for our registration. Hockey Canada recently updated their system (June 2021) and they have rolled out their new Hockey Canada 3.0 platform. As a result of this upgrade, all users will be required to create a new login at the time of registration. Our members can prepare to set up their new login by planning which email address they would like to use. Please use an email address that is easy to remember and one that you can keep over the course of your child’s time participating in minor hockey. You can even use the email you previously used for Hockey Canada eHockey portal. However, you will have to still create a new login on the Hockey Canada 3.0 platform.
It has been a total rework of the Hockey Canada Registry and Registration process. It has been vastly updated and the interface is much easier to use. The hope is you find that the user experience less frustrating. (e.g. no more entering your address many times!)
I would really, really recommend downloading the HCR 3.0 guide. I created another one of my infamous down and dirty tutorials for a walk through. There is an important section on credits that must be followed to ensure it get processed.
If the credit procedure is not done before checkout, the credit WILL NOT BE APPLIED, and LMHA will be unable to apply the credit. So this is an important step to be aware of. Though, as a new participant you will not have to be concerned about the credit procedure.
