My name is Nancy Sherman-Higo and I am the head instructor for the Little Canes Program with LMHA. I will be running the program along with 5 assistant instructors. We will be dividing the ice surface into two groups of skaters and non skaters/new skaters. During our 45 mins we will work on skating for half the time and introducing pucks the other half of our time.
Our goals is to have all players skating and able to push the puck by the end of our program along with introducing other skating and puck skills.
You must have your player fully dressed in gear prior to coming to the rink. There is a 15 min allowance to enter the arena before our program starts to put your child’s skates on if needed. This 15 min allowance is a guideline we must follow set out by the City of Lethbridge. Parents are also not allowed in the bench area. You must go in to a selected area of the arena seating to watch your player. We will gather your player prior to our ice time and bring your player back to the dressing rooms after the ice session.
If you could all bring a jersey to our first session incase our newly ordered jersey’s are not in for next Monday.
We look forward to meeting our Little Canes next Monday, October 19th at ATB.
See you on at the rink,
Nancy
