The LMHA is pleased to offer scholarships toward the higher education of our players.
Applicants must be current or former members of the LMHA. Previous winners are not eligible.
Matthew Proudfoot Memorial Scholarship:
Matthew Proudfoot (1983-2009) grew up playing in the Lethbridge Minor system as well as with the Lethbridge Athletics Association.
The scholarship will be awarded yearly at the LMHA Annual General Meeting in April to two Midget level players, one male and one female. The recipients must exhibit the qualities on and off the ice that model the spirit of a team player. Examples include, but are not limited to, dedication, a hard worker, tenacious, and putting others before self.
A sum of $1000.00 will be awarded to one male player and $1000.00 to one female player each year. The recipients will receive a commemorative plaque with their name also placed on a second plaque that will remain the property of Lethbridge Minor Hockey and will be displayed in the trophy case of a local arena..
