Attn: All LMHA Coaches, Bench Staff and Team Managers
As the Province of Alberta and City of Lethbridge have changed the mandates and restrictions put in place for youth in sports, LMHA has updated their vaccine protocol. The changes and requirements of the team are listed below.
LMHA will require all coaches, bench staff and managers be fully vaccinated by October 25, 2021, and to provide proof of vaccination to LMHA; or provide documentation of a medical exemption or a negative Covid-19 test. These tests are effective for two weeks.
Next, all youth participants that are solely participating in hockey practices and games will not require proof of vaccination, medical exemption, or a negative Covid-19 test.
Finally, all spectators, must provide proof of vaccination, medical exemption or Covid-19 test to the designated person on your team. We will provide a spreadsheet for teams to capture this information. The designated person will visually confirm proof of vaccine, exemption or Covid-19 test (documentation does not need to be collected for spectators). Once this information has been submitted by a team, we will be creating a card specific to that person to show that documentation has been verified. For any spectators who have not received a card, they will be required to provide proof of vaccination, medical exemption or Covid-19 test prior to entering any City of Lethbridge operated recreation and culture facility.
This documentation will be compiled into a team profile that will be accessible only to myself, and to the designated person on your team. So that there aren’t any delays to our season, we ask that you provide your vaccine documentation promptly. Please send all vaccine documentation for yourself to anne.kish@telus.net so that we can begin to create the team profiles. Please include your name, division and team name along with your vaccine documentation in your email.
